Sir,
With reference to possible economies in the conduct of the Police School alluded to in Mr. E. A. Irving's minute of the 30th. June, a copy of which was enclosed in my Des- -patch llo. 245 of the 11th. July, I have the honour to forward copy of a further minute by lr. Irving, dated the 30th. July, embodying a scheme for the future conduct of the Police School, which shows
a saving of X900 per annum on the present expenditure.

I think these recommendations, in which the Captain Superintendent of Police concurs, are sound and propose, subject to your authority to make provision accordingly in the
Estimates for next year.
